🌼 How to Care for Your Flowers

We want your flowers to look beautiful and last as long as possible! Here are some simple tips to help you get the best out of your blooms — whether you’ve received a bouquet or a floral arrangement.

Each of our floral designs comes with a sachet of flower food — simply mix it with fresh water to help your flowers stay vibrant for longer.

💐 Caring for a Bouquet

If you’ve received a bouquet that needs to go into a vase, here’s what to do:

  1. Unwrap your bouquet carefully, removing any paper or wrapping around the stems.

  2. Trim about 2–3cm off each stem at an angle using clean scissors or secateurs. This helps your flowers drink more easily.

  3. Fill a clean vase with fresh, cool water and mix in the flower food sachet provided.

  4. Remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline — this keeps the water fresh and prevents bacteria.

  5. Place your vase in a cool, shaded spot, away from direct sunlight, heaters, or drafts.

  6. Top up with fresh water daily, and every 2–3 days, change the water completely, re-trim the stems, and add more flower food if available.

🌸 Caring for an Arrangement

If your flowers are arranged in floral foam or a container, here’s how to keep them happy:

  1. Keep the foam moist by slowly adding a small amount of fresh water every 1–2 days - add a little of the flower food to this water. Pour the water gently at the base of the flowers.

  2. Place the arrangement in a cool location, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or cold drafts.

  3. Remove any wilted flowers or leaves as they age — this helps the remaining blooms stay fresh.

  4. Avoid moving your arrangement too often, as it’s designed to stay balanced and secure in its container.

🌷 Extra Tips

  • Flowers love cool, calm spots — avoid leaving them in hot cars or on sunny windowsills.

  • If your flowers start to droop, give them a fresh trim and clean water — they’ll often perk right back up!
